NEOPOLYNEMOIDEA Huber, 2022 View in CoL
( Figs 193–198)
Neopolynemoidea Huber, 2022: 6 . Type species: Neopolynemoidea chilensis Huber, 2022 , by original designation.
Diagnosis. Face with toruli almost abutting transverse trabecula ( Fig. 193a); scape about 10× as long as wide; funicle 6-segmented, clava 3-segmented ( Fig. 194); fore wing venation almost 0.7× wing length ( Fig. 195); frenum entire ( Fig. 196a); ovipositor exserted beyond apex of gaster by almost length of gaster ( Fig. 198).
Remarks. Neopolynemoidea belongs to the Anagrus group of genera. It has a combination of features shared by one or other of the remaining genera in the group: the strongly exserted ovipositor with Omyomymar (Caenomymar) , the entire (undivided) frenum with Notomymar and Omyomymar , and the 3-segmented clava with Krokella , Neostethynium and Stethynium . The combination of these features in Neopolynemoidea is unique.
Neotropical hosts. Unknown.
