NEOPOLYNEMOIDEA Huber, 2022 View in CoL
( Figs 193–198 View FIGURES 193–195 View FIGURES 196, 197 View FIGURE 198 )
Neopolynemoidea Huber, 2022: 6 . Type species: Neopolynemoidea chilensis Huber, 2022 , by original designation.
Diagnosis. Face with toruli almost abutting transverse trabecula ( Fig. 193a View FIGURES 193–195 ); scape about 10× as long as wide; funicle 6-segmented, clava 3-segmented ( Fig. 194 View FIGURES 193–195 ); fore wing venation almost 0.7× wing length ( Fig. 195 View FIGURES 193–195 ); frenum entire ( Fig. 196a View FIGURES 196, 197 ); ovipositor exserted beyond apex of gaster by almost length of gaster ( Fig. 198 View FIGURE 198 ).
Remarks. Neopolynemoidea belongs to the Anagrus group of genera. It has a combination of features shared by one or other of the remaining genera in the group: the strongly exserted ovipositor with Omyomymar (Caenomymar) , the entire (undivided) frenum with Notomymar and Omyomymar , and the 3-segmented clava with Krokella , Neostethynium and Stethynium . The combination of these features in Neopolynemoidea is unique.
Neotropical hosts. Unknown.
