Diagnosis. Head in lateral view with vertex flat and at a right angle with face and with occiput ( Fig. 204 View FIGURES 204, 205 ); face with faint subantennal sulcus ventral to each torulus ( Fig. 199a View FIGURES 199–201 ); toruli separated by about their own height from transverse trabecula ( Fig. 199a View FIGURES 199–201 ); mandibles small, not meeting when closed, each with at least 1 small tooth ( Fig. 199a View FIGURES 199–201 ); funicle 6-segmented, clava 3-segmented with the divisions between segments transverse ( Fig. 200 View FIGURES 199–201 ); frenum entire ( Fig. 202 View FIGURES 202, 203 ); fore wing narrow with rounded apex ( Fig. 201 View FIGURES 199–201 ).
Remarks. Neostethynium belongs to the Anagrus group of genera. It has a 3-segmented clava as in Krokella , Neopolynemoidea , Notomymar , Paranaphoidea and Stethynium . See under Notomymar , the most similar genus, for differences between the two genera.
Neotropical hosts. Unknown.
