Material. Karlovac: Modruš, Draga. 03.06.2022, 1 Ơ (Kovac leg.) ( SMNF) .

Remarks. As noted above, M. blotii and M. inulae are separate species, which differ by host plant range, length of ovipositor (short in M. blotii and long in M. inulae ) and colouration of pleura (entirely yellow in M. blotii and widely black ventrally in M. inulae ). This examined male has widely black pleura and large black spots on the abdominal tergites, which are typical for M. inulae ( figs 1 View Fig , h–i). Larvae induce galls in receptacles of Pentanema ensifolium , P. hirtum , and P. salicinum .
