Lectotype (designated here by Gottschlich): — Turkey: Amasia, in regione superiore mts. Sana-dagh , 14–1600 m, 15/ 16 July 1889, J. Bornmüller (Pl. exs. Anatoliae orientalis, a. 1889, No. 1464) (B barcode B 10 0484946!; isolectotype: BRNM No. 08593/36!).— Current name: Hieracium transiens subsp. mallopoderes (Bornm. & Zahn) Greuter in Greuter & Raab-Straube (2007: 178).
