7.5 miles north of west end of Santa Catalina Island, California, bearing 002, Sta. 2798-54 [33°36'00"N, 118°36'03"W] 117 m, May 25 1954, Allan Hancock Pacific Expedition of 1940. Velero IV, blue green mud.

Type material.

Holotype (LACM-AHF POLY 0429) and 1 Paratype (LACM-AHF POLY 0430).
