Upper body with a mid-dorsal series of dark, alternating, connected half-blotches, and a separate lateral blotch on each side of body tending to be in line with the mid-dorsal blotch on that side ( Fig. 6F View Fig ); head usually with a narrow, dark stripe extending posteriorly from the eye ( Fig. 6F View Fig ); body scales (heavily) keeled; upper head covered only with small scales (except for supraoculars) and with more than 10 scales between the supraoculars; anal scale entire.
