Helicopsyche (Feropsyche) catoles Souza, Gomes & Calor

This species was previously recorded for Chapada da Diamantina, a large mountain range in Bahia state, northeastern Brazil. The area includes several vegetation types, like savanna, campo rupestre, forests and Caatinga biome, being one of the highest semiarid areas of Brazil. The type-locality of H. (F.) catoles is a forest fragments at Chapada da Diamantina. Now , we record this species in high areas of the Atlantic Forest biome in Rio de Janeiro state .
