Helicopsyche ( Feropsyche) guara Holzenthal, Blahnik & Calor

This species was previously recorded for Parque Ecológico Spitzkopf, a small Atlantic Forest area in Santa Catarina state, southern Brazil, and Parque Nacional do Peruaçu, a national park with several limestone caves covered by representative samples of Cerrado biome and seasonal forest, being located in Minas Gerais state, southeastern Brazil. Herein, we record H. ( F.) guara for the first time in several Atlantic Forest areas of Rio de Janeiro state.
