Diagnosis. The male of P. tyurai can be separated from the sibling P. kovblyuki by having distinct abdominal pattern ( Figs 1 View FIGURES 1 – 6 , 7 View FIGURES 7 – 12 ) and smaller size (carapace 2.75 vs. 4.0 in sibling species). The two species can be easily separated by the size of palps ( Figs 11–12 View FIGURES 7 – 12 ). The male palp of P. tyurai has slightly swollen and short tibia (length/width ca. 1.6 vs. 2.2. in P. kovblyuki ), has almost reduced patellar apophysis and shorter tip of cymbium (tip = length of the bulb vs. distinct patellar apophysis and bulb shorter than tip of cymbium in P. kovblyuki ). In addition, the male of P. tyurai has only 2 dorsal spines on femora I–IV vs. 3 dorsal spines in the sibling species.
Description. Male. Total length 5.7. Carapace 2.75 long, 2.08 wide. Abdomen with distinct dorsal pattern composed by 6 pairs of light chevrons. Leg length: I 8.2 (2.25, 2.85, 1.95, 1.15), II 6.95 (1.95, 2.3, 1.7, 1.0), III 6.6 (1.75, 2.2, 1.75, 0.9), IV 8.45 (2.35, 2.95, 2.5, 1.1).
Palp as in Figs 8–11 View FIGURES 7 – 12 , relatively short, femur 3.7 times longer than wide, tibia 1.3 times longer than wide. Patellar apophysis (Pa) almost entirely reduced, retrolateral tibial apophysis (Ta) small and short, spine like. Patella with anterior dorsal long macrosetae, almost 1.5 times longer than patella, tibia and base of cymbium with long dorsal and prolateral macrosetae. Cymbium 2.4 times longer than bulb, cymbial furrow (Cf) short, about 1/4 cymbial length; conductor short, not forming entire (360°) coil in lateral view; embolus originates at about 8 o'clock position.
Female. Described by Zhang & Marusik (2016).
