Hallodapus costae (Reuter, 1890) View in CoL
( Fig. 36A View FIG )
Material examined: Turkey: Mersin, Anamur , 15.06.2020, 1 ♀, Ö. Koçak leg., B. Çerçi det. ( BCIT)
Comments: The genus Hallodapus is represented by following three species in Turkey: H. suturalis (Herrich-Schaeffer, 1837), H. concolor (Reuter, 1890) and H. pseudoconcolor (Linnavuori, 1984) ( Önder et al. 2006; Matocq et al. 2014; Çerçi et al. 2019). While the latter two are uniformly orange coloured, first one has dark head, pronotum and scutellum with yellow hemelytra that is marked with dark pattern along its inner margin. H. castae can be distinguished from H. suturalis by the dark pattern on the corium being very broad and reaching almost the edge of the hemelytra. Hallodapus costae is an Eremian species distributing in Sudanese subregion of Africa and Middle East ( Linnavuori 1996; Kerzhner & Josifov 1999). It was already known from Southeastern neighbors of Turkey; Iraq and Iran ( Linnavuori 1993; Ghahari & Chérot 2014). This new record from Turkey enhanced the known distribution of this species in East Mediterranean region.
