Range:— Colombia to Bolivia (LP).
Ecology:— Rare; epiphytic, rarely on wet rocks or cliffs near waterfalls, in humid forests; elevation in Bolivia unknown, 100–1200 m elsewhere. In Amazonian Peru, found only in forests on sandy, rather than clayey, soil ( Tuomisto & Ruokolainen 1994).
