Range:— Central Peru to Bolivia (CO, LP).
Ecology:— Rare; epiphytic and terrestrial in evergreen, but fairly dry montane forests or scrub; 2500–3100 m (down to 1500 m in Peru) .
Notes:— Habitally intermediate between A. pulchellum and A. harpeodes . Also similar to A. sessilifolium , from which it differs by the basal acroscopic pinna auricle cut at most halfway to the costae ( vs. more deeply incised) and by commonly having 4–7 ( vs. 8–12) sori on larger pinnae.
