Lectotype (Fawcett & Rendle, Fl. Jamaica 3: 234. 1914): Browne, Herb. Linn. No. 664.10 ( LINN) .

Current name: Capparis flexuosa (L.) L. ( Capparaceae ).

Note: Rankin & Greuter (in Willdenowia 34: 261. 2004) attribute the type choice to Fawcett & Rendle’s earlier account (in J. Bot. 52: 142. May 1914), where they use the expression "founded upon". However, this is not accepted here as effecting typification.
