Diagnosis. Habitus typical of the tribe Neanurini ( Cassagnau 1989) . Buccal cone short and relatively wide. Mandible with 6 teeth. Labium with 11+11 chetae, papillae x absent. Head with 3 chaetae Oc, chaetae A, B, C, D and E. Chaeta O absent. Tubercles Dl and (L+So) on head with 4 and 7 chaetae respectively. Tubercles De on th. II and III with 3 chaetae. Tubercles L on abd. III and IV with 3 and 5 chaetae respectively. Furca rudimentary without microchaetae. Tibiotarsi with relatively short chaetae.
Material examined (all on slides). Holotype, female, soil and litter, oak-hornbeam forest, Semeskandeh forest, 5 km SE of Sari (N36°32'55", E53°9'25" / 190m a.s.l.), Sari county, Mazandaran province, Hyrcanian Forest, Iran, leg. M. Mehrafrooz Mayvan. Paratypes: 1 female, 3 males, same data as holotype. Holotype and 3 paratypes are deposited at the Institute of Environmental Biology, Wrocław University, Poland and 1 paratype in the collection of the Department of Plant Protection, Faculty of Crop Sciences, Sari University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, Iran.

Etymology. The name is derived from the terra typica ––the Hyrcanian Forest.
Description. Body length (without antennae): 0.85–1.1 mm (holotype: 1 mm). Colour of the body grayishblue. 3 + 3 medium size, darkly pigmented eyes.
Types of dorsal ordinary chaetae: macrochaetae Ml relatively long and thin, narrowly sheathed, slightly serrated, apically rounded ( Figs 2, 7, 8–9 View FIGURES 1 – 10 ); macrochaetae Mc short and thin, narrowly sheathed, feebly serrated, pointed at apex; mesochaetae and microchaetae short, very thin and pointed.

Remarks. The new species is most similar to Kalanura babenkoi Smolis, 2007 by the separation of tubercles Di on abd. V and the presence of dorsal tubercles. The differences between them are presented above in the generic discussion and in Tab. 3 View TABLE 3 .
