Material examined. Nha Phu Bay, Dam Bay, mangrove plantation, 30 specimens.
Abundance. Common.
Measurements. Up to 35 mm ( Reid 1986).
Ecological notes. Ovoviviparous species ( Reid 1986).
Lives on trunks and leaves of trees in Avicennia fringe, occasionally on the roots and trunks of outermost Rhizophora trees, to 1.7 m above the ground ( Reid 1986), also reported as brackish Nypa mangal inhabitant ( Lozouet & Plaziat 2008).
In studied sites it was found on trunks and roots of mature Rhizophora trees.
Relation to mangroves. Predominantly mangrove-associated.
Distribution in Vietnam. Central coast, southern delta ( Thach 2005).
General distribution. Strictly Indo-Malayan species ( Reid 1986).
