Melania (Melanopsis) parreyssii Philippi, 1847 View in CoL
Original source.
Philippi 1847: 176, pl. 4, fig. 15.
Type horizon.
Late Pleistocene to Recent.
Type locality.
“Hungaria” [no locality indicated], Hungary? (at that time, the kingdom Hungary covered large parts of Romania and northern Croatia).
Remarks.
Philippi attributed the authority to Johann Georg Megerle von Mühlfeld, apparently based on an "in schedis" determination. The name " parreyssi " as mentioned in Brusina (1903), Kormos (1905) and Paucă (1937) is an incorrect subsequent spelling (see also Neubauer et al. 2014d).
