Remarks: This species has two forms, being one with the frontal vitta yellow and one with this black, but one of the males from Katara (immediately cited above), has the frontal vitta infuscate and yellow in the anterior 1 / 3, while the other male specimen has a weak infuscation only bordering the ocellar triangle.
Distribution: (Afrotropical): Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Namibia *, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
Host-plant: Pigeon grass, Setaria pumila (Poir.) Roem. & Schult. (as synonym S. pallidifusca (Schumach.) Stapf & C.E. Hubb. ) ( Poaceae ).
