Material examined: 1♂, West Caprivi Park, Kwando River, Susuwe , 17°45'37''S, 23°20'55''E, 28.ix–02.x.1998, A GoogleMaps . H. Kirk-Spriggs, Malaise trap in dry woodland ( NMNW) .
Remarks: The puparium was described by Deeming (1971: 170), reared from Sorghum , Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench (as Andropogon sorghum ).
Distribution: (Afrotropical): Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Namibia *, Nigeria, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda. Additional specimens from Kenya and Ethiopia are deposited in NMWC (1♀, “ Kenya, Kasarani, 10–11.viii.1989, J.W. Ismay, swept savannah” and 1♂, “ Ethiopia, Alemaya, 10.viii.1993, S. Gudeta”).
Host-plants: Desho grass, Pennisetum pedicellatum Trin., Napier grass, Cenchrus purpureus (as Pennisetum purpureum ) and Sorghum , Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench. (all Poaceae ).
