Macrolycus dotatus Kleine, 1925: 328; 1933: 5; Nakane, 1967: 73; Li et al., 2012: 49.

Material examined.

China • 1♂ (IZAS); Yunnan, Simao ; 13.IV.1955; Y. Z. Zi leg. ; 1♀ (IZAS); same locality; 13.IV.1955; Y. Z. Zi leg.

Descriptive notes.

Male (Fig. 3C View Figure 3 ). Antennae (Fig. 5C View Figure 5 ) flabellate, overlapping two-thirds the length of the elytra when inclined. Antennomere II transverse; III-XI lamellate, antennomere III with lamella nearly as long as joint, and lamella of IX longest, 5.0 times longer than joint itself. - Aedeagus: median lobe moderately curved near middle in lateral view, at an angle of ca. 150° between basal and apical parts of dorsal side, distinctly arcuate at base part, subapical part moderately inflated dorsally (Figs 4I View Figure 4 , 8A View Figure 8 ); nearly straight at basal part in ventral view, subapical part strongly inflated laterally (Figs 4H View Figure 4 , 8B View Figure 8 ), with a fusiform ventral-cavity (Fig. 4H View Figure 4 ); apical part gradually narrowed distad, with a deep V-shaped notch at apex (Fig. 4G View Figure 4 ).

Distribution.

China (Hainan, Guangxi, Guangdong, Yunnan), Vietnam, Laos.

Remarks.

In the latest work ( Li et al. 2012), this species was not illustrated. Here, we provide illustrations of the male habitus, antenna and aedeagus to make it better known.
