Steniridia Casey, 1924: 336. Type species: Cychrus andrewsii Harris, 1839 by monotypy. Etymology. From the Greek stenos (narrow) and iridos (rainbow) [feminine].

Diversity.

Seven species restricted to the Appalachian region.
