Type material: Holotype: male: DR CONGO: Kivu, Volcan Karisimbi, Rukumi , 01°30′S, 29°27′E, 14.vii.1970, 3700 m, dans terreau de Senecio, Lejeune M. ( MRAC 138486 View Materials ). GoogleMaps

Diagnosis: Males of P. lobelia are characterized by the forward pointing, short and parallel-sided RTA with a rounded tip, and by the relatively short, flat embolus with a broad tip.

Etymology: The species name is a noun in apposition. It refers to the giant Lobelia species typical for the high altitude mountainous vegetation of tropical Africa, the type of environment where the holotype was collected.

Description: Male (holotype, MRAC 138486). Total l 5.46.

Carapace chestnut brown, covered by tiny warts forming a network with polygonal meshes. Carapace l: 2.58; w: 2.27. Fovea deep, clearly delimited. Sternum orange brown, warted, l: 1.13; w: 1.29. Abdomen grey, with a yellow-orange dorsal scutum marbled with brown, covering 65% of do abdominal surface area.

Legs orange-brown, covered by fine warts.

Male palp ( Fig. 31C, D View Figure 31 ): RTA with two short prongs, superior one broad, with rounded tip, inferior one much smaller and with blunt tip. Posterior part of tegulum swollen, with large CAPT, provided with two sharp prongs at extremity; FC massive; embolus short, flat, slightly curved, accompanied by membranous apophysis.

Known geographical distribution: DR Congo, Karisimbi Volcano ( Fig. 41 View Figure 41 ).
