Bot.: 367. 1696. - Typotype: Herb. Sloane 107: 7 ( BM-SL) . - Voucher: Herb. Sloane 94: 108 ( BM-SL).

Current name: Cliffortia polygonifolia L. var. trifoliata (L.) Harv. View in CoL ( Rosaceae ).

Note: Weimarck ( Monogr. Cliffortia : 84. 1934) discussed the Plukenet figure but did not, however, designate a type.
