Type species: Ichthyophis nigroflavus Taylor, 1960b by original designation. Diagnosis: The only ichthyophiids lacking inner mandibular teeth.

Distribution: Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines.

Content: five species ( asplenia , larutensis , nigroflava , paucidentula , weberi ).
