Two species are placed in this group, established because of the distinctiveness of the aedeagi ( Figs. 40, 41 View FIGURES 40–41 ). Reliable determinations will require examination of the aedeagi because the habitus ( Figs. 38 View FIGURE 38 , 39 View FIGURE 39 ) is very similar to some species in other groups. H. accurata is one of the most commonly collected Hydraena in southern Africa.
