Lectotype (Schelpe & Anthony in Leistner, Fl. Southern Africa, Pteridophyta: 51. 1986): Herb. Linn. No. 1245.2 ( LINN) .

Current name: Schizaea pectinata (L.) Sw. View in CoL ( Schizaeaceae ).

Note: Verdcourt (in Beentje, Fl. Trop. E. Africa, Schizaeaceae : 2. 2000) rejected the type choice of Schelpe & Anthony because they incorrectly referred to 1245.2 (LINN) as the holotype, and designated a Morison plate in its place. However, under Art. 9.8, their type statement is correctable to lectotype, and their choice has priority.
