Type species: Paterdecolyus panteli Griffini, 1913 , by original designation.

Generic diagnosis. Body medium, wings absent. Head of both sexes without sexual specialization. Occiput and fastigium verticis with indistinct median carinae, which visible in lateral view. Fastigium verticis depressed, projecting forward, obviously narrower than scape. Eyes oval, projecting forward; ocelli distinct. Pronotum semicylindrical vertex, posterior margin truncate; lateral lobes longer than high, anterior lateral corner rounded, posterior lateral corner projecting downward, posterior margin slightly oblique. Tegmina absent, and without traces of rudiments. Deutonymph and protonymph bear the trace of wings rudiments, but absent in imagoes. Processes of thoracic sternites similar to Anabropside. Fore and middle coxae with 1 small spine. Basal area of femora ventrally with longitudinal sulcus, flattening to apex, with 4 internal spines, the apical spines shorter than basal ones. Genicular lobes of middle and hind femora with 1 small spine. Hind femora stout at base, tapering towards to apex. Fore tibiae with tympanum only on internal surface, external surface absent; dorsal surface with 2 internal and 1 external spines, ventral surface with 5 pairs of spines, apices with 1 pair of spines. Middle tibiae with 4 internal and 3 external spines on both margins dorsally, ventral surface with 5 pairs of spines. Apices of hind tibiae with 2 pairs of dorsal and 1 pair of ventral spines. The shape of subgential plate similar to Anabropside.

Species included. Paterdecolyus chopardi (Karny, 1932) , Paterdecolyus dubius Würmli, 1973 , Paterdecolyus femoratus (Pictet & Saussure, 1893) and Paterdecolyus panteli Griffini, 1913 .
