Type data. This species was described based on a single male specimen that bears the following data label: [light green label with green rim] Coll. Gribodo [printed in green] Patagones [handwritten] D [printed in green]\ Anthophora virgo Grib. Tipo ♂ D. Gribodo [handwritten] ( MSNG) .

Type locality. Argentina: Buenos Aires province: Carmen de Patagones (“Patagones”).

Comment. Same as commented on C. plumigera .
