Pitho lherminieri (Schramm, 1867)

Material examined (N=5). 1m, 3f, 07/VI/2000, 13°52’37”S / 38°57’11”W ( MZUESC #63).

Distribution. Western Atlantic – from North Carolina to Florida, Gulf of Mexico, Antilles, and Brazil (Fernando de Noronha, and from Pará to São Paulo) ( Melo 1996).

Ecological notes. On mud, sand, shell, rock, and coral bottoms. From shallow waters to 28 m, exceptionally to 200 m ( Melo 1996).
