Distribution: Rainforest zone in Cameroon, S Central African Republic, Dem. Rep. Congo, Equatorial Guinea ( Mbini), Gabon, Republic of Congo.
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (nt).
Discussion: Cephalophus castaneus arrhenii Lönnberg, 1917 is based on a skull of C. leucogaster (the lectotype) and a skin of C. badius ( Grubb and Groves, 2002) .
