Lectotype (Smith in Sida 6: 138. 1976): Clayton 298 [ “290”] (BM-000051187).

Current name: Coreopsis auriculata L. View in CoL ( Asteraceae ).

Note: Sherff (in Publ. Field Mus. Nat. Hist., Bot. Ser. 11: 357. 1936) discussed some of the original elements for the name but did not designate a type.
