Diagnosis. The new species is similar to Attagenus molitor Reitter, 1889 but differs from it by the broad form of body, structure of antennae and male genitalia, as A. molitor presents antennae yellowish-brown, not reaching posterior pronotal angles; pronotum dark brown to light black; elytra yellowish-brown ( China ¡ Xinjiang; Iran; Kazakhstan; Mongolia).
Also differs from A. seniculus (Solsky, 1876) by the unicolorous antennae and structure of male genitalia.
Etymology. The new species is named after Petr Zahradník (Prague, Czech Republic), his collector and very good friend of mine.
Distribution. Species described from China (Hebei province).
