Diagnosis. Head black dorsally, antennomeres VI and VII lobate; ventral surface yellow; mouthparts and coxae brown. Pronotum with wide lateral margins, pronotum and elytron brown. Elytron yellow with brown maculae and fasciae; two lateral maculae near apex, sutural fascia continuous reaching the base, with a large brown macula on the disc, lateral fascia discontinuous, joining with discal macula near apex ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 3 – 4. 3 a). Last abdominal ventrite smooth with distinct edge ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 3 – 4. 3 b). Aedeagus with wide and bifid base, apical half gradually narrowed, apex truncate but widened laterally ( Figs 4 View FIGURES 3 – 4. 3 c–e). Paramere, in dorsal view, with internal edge undulate, converging near base and with rows of setae rounded at apex ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 3 – 4. 3 c); in ventral view, basal half large joining to other side, apical half thin with apex rounded with setae ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 3 – 4. 3 d).
Description. Holotype male: total length 1.44 mm; maximum width 0.96 mm; elytral length 0.77 mm; maximum width of pronotum 0.96 mm.
Body rounded. Head inconspicuously punctate; clypeus indistinctly beaded; antennae with round scape, pedicel narrower and longer than flagellomeres, antennomeres VI and VII lobate. Pronotum short and wide, very fine and inconspicuously punctate, wide lateral margins; prosternal process small and setiforme; metasternum, metacoxae and abdomen with small, scattered, fine punctures. Tarsi pentamerous without modifications. Elytron very fine and obscurely punctated. Last abdominal ventrite smooth with distinct edge ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 3 – 4. 3 b). Aedeagus with base wide and bifid and apical half gradually narrowed, apex truncated but widened laterally ( Figs 4 View FIGURES 3 – 4. 3 c–e). Coloration. Head black dorsally. Pronotum yellow with black base. Elytron yellow with brown maculae and fasciae; two lateral maculae near apex, sutural fascia continuous, reaching the base, with a large brown macula on the disc, lateral fascia discontinuous, joining with discal macula near apex ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 3 – 4. 3 a). Ventral surface yellow; mouthparts and coxae brown.
Variation. The size of the body is not variable. Small variation in the position of the lateral spots and fasciae.

Etymology. The specific epithet is the Latin adjetive nigro meaning “dark” and capitata meaning “head” referring to the dark coloration of the head, which is uncommon in Desmopachria .
Taxonomic notes. This new species is not placed in any group. The male genitalia possess some similarities with the portmania group sensu Miller (2001) in the curved form of the aedeagus and in the setae of the parameres, however the bifid base of the aedeagus and the absence of bifurcation on the prosternal process excludes it from this group.
