A. (Ammoplanus) kondarensis Marshakov View in CoL

Ammoplanu s kondarensis Marshakov, 1976: 680 ±681. Tajikistan: Kondara Canyon. Holotype female, in ZMAS (examined).

Diagnostic notes. Pterostigma in both sexes bicolorous but distal half becoming only gradually slightly darker, not well delimited.

Additional diagnostic characters

Male. Not seen, placed in key from Marshakov’s data. Hind basitarsus normal, not expanded.

Female. Head in lateral view unusually stout at level of upper ends of eyes. Centre of face at level with upper ends of eyes with a distinct cavity (which may be reduced in small specimens), frons above cavity convex. Space between toruli twice as broad as one torular diameter, torulus about 1.4 times its diameter from lower end of eye which is distinctly curved mesad; this space distinctly deepened into a broad round pit almost touching torulus the lower margin of which reaches broad clypeal emargination. Latter with straight bottom fully twice as broad as its distance from lower end of eye; median tooth narrow and long, slightly rising to beyond submedian teeth, narrowly triangular. Mandible in two-thirds of length slightly wider than in constriction at one-third of length (®gure 36). Underside of head almost ¯at, oral fossa of U-form, relatively small, near anterior end only about 1.4 times as broad as its distance from eye margin; ¯at part of underside between fossa and anterior eye end on inner side rectangular, broadly rounded, but in middle reaching slightly more forward than the part nearer to eye. Palpi short.

Comment. This species was mentioned only from the type locality, from 15 specimens of both sexes, and the male only vaguely described, although it should be more easily recognizable than the holotype female. Despite of this kondarensis seems to be a distinctive species, but for secure identi®cation Marshakov’s ®gures and description should be consulted.

Material examined. Tajikistan: Kondara Canyon N of Dushanbe, 1100 m, one female holotype, 24 June 1939 (Gussakovskij: ZMAS) .
