M. phoebe telona Fruhstorfer, 1908 View in CoL
[TL: ‘Palastina’ – generally accepted as environs of Jerusalem, Israel]; this taxon has been elevated fairly recently to specific status by Tóth et al. (2014), van Oorschot & Coutsis (2014) and confirmed recently by Tóth et al. (2017). There is considerable confusion between authors regarding Fruhstorfer’s type material; this is being actively investigated and the results will be published separately in due course.
