Galium spurium Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 106. 1753.

“Habitat in Europae cultis.” RCN: 865.

Lectotype (Natali & Jeanmonod in Jeanmonod, Compl. Prodr. Fl. Corse, Rubiaceae: 53. 2000): Herb. Linn. No. 55.17 (S).

Current name: Galium spurium L. (Rubiaceae).

Note: Moore (in Canad. J. Bot. 53: 881. 1975) provided a description of 129.7 (LINN), but made it clear (p. 879) that he was not typifying the name (it was in any case not original material).
