Note: The application of this name is uncertain and it was rejected as a nomen ambiguum by Marsh (in Bothalia 9: 124. 1966). See further comments by Powrie (in J. S. African Bot. 38: 303. 1972), and by Farjon ( Monogr. Cupressaceae Sciadopitys : 469. 2005), who believes C. juniperoides is unlikely to relate to a species of Widdringtonia .
