Description of Brevibacillus agri MBLB View in CoL 3826
Cells are Gram-staining positive and rod-shaped with flagella. Colonies are cream, circle, and flat after 3 days of incubation on MA at 30℃. Positive for nitrate reduction, and urease activity. Negative for indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, esculin hydrolysis, gelatinase, and β -galactosidase activity. Utilizes D-glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannitol, N- acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, adipic acid, and malic acid. Does not utilize D-mannose, capric acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid. Strain MBLB 3826 (NIBRBAC000510682) was isolated from soil of Gangneung , Gangwon-do Korea ( 37°48 ʹ 14.9 ʺ N 128° 54 ʹ 23.4 ʺ E) GoogleMaps .
