Distribution in Iran: Golestan, Mazandaran ( Amini et al. 2020), Isfahan ( Samin et al. 2018b).
General distribution: Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia Herzegovina, “Buchara”, Belarus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia (Central, North and South European Territory, Far East), Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, former Yugoslavia.
Habitat: In Europe, most often, this species lives and develops in basidiomas with a dense woody consistency ( Fomes fomentarius (L.) Fr., Ganoderma applanatum (Pers.) Pat. , G. pfeifferi Bres. , Fomitopsis pinicola (Sw.) P.Karst. , etc), but sometimes adults are also found in the soft basidiomes of tinder fungi ( Fomitopsis betulina (Bull.) B.K. Cui, M.L. Han & Y.C. Dai , Hapalopilus rutilans (Pers.) Murrill , Trametes suaveolens etc.).
Comments: Reared from fungus on Populus sp. (Salicaceae) ( Amini et al. 2020).
