Caenophanes appendiculatus Röder, 1894: 174 . Type locality: "Beyrut, Asia Minor ". Holotype female, Germany, Halle a.S., Martin-Luther-Universität, Wissenschaftsbereich Zoologie. (MLUH) (synonymy by Kröber 1913; Lyneborg 1989 does not mention this synonymy and lists it as valid species).
Geographical distribution. Afghanistan, Armenia, Cyprus, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, Uzbekistan.
Remarks. This species is not represented in the Egyptian collections.
