Distance between upper eye lobes 0.31 times distance between outer margins of eyes; in frontal view, distance between lower eye lobes 0.57 times distance between outer margins of eyes. Antennae 3.6 times elytral length, reaching elytral apex at posterior sixth of antennomere V. Scape and pedicel with abundant yellowish-white not obscuring integument, pubescence yellower or whiter depending on light intensity and source; with a few short, erect, thick blackish setae ventrally near apex.Antennomeres III–XI with moderately abundant whitish pubescence not obscuring integument; with minute, erect whitish setae interspersed throughout; III–IV with short, erect, thick blackish setae ventrally, sparser on IV; V–VIII with a few short setae directed backward on ventral apex. Antennal formula based on length of antennomere III: scape = 1.13; pedicel = 0.14; IV = 0.97; V = 0.93; VI = 0.90; VII = 0.85; VIII = 0.93; IX = 1.03; X = 1.13; XI = 1.55.

Thorax. Prothorax wider than long; anterior constriction narrow, well marked; sides divergent from anterior constriction to lateral tubercles, then convergent to posterolateral angles; lateral tubercle conical, located on posterior fifth, with apex slightly directed backward. Pronotum with slightly elevated, subelliptical gibbosity centrally on posterior half; moderately abundantly and coarsely punctate, except smooth central gibbosity; glabrous close to anterior margin, posterior transverse sulcus, and central gibbosity, with longitudinal, abundant yellowish-white pubescent band centrally on anterior half, not reaching anterior margin, abundant yellowish-white pubescence close to sides of central gibbosity, with large, almost L-shaped white pubescent macula laterally, from apex of anterior third to dorsal surface of lateral tubercles of prothorax and posterolateral angles, with abundant light yellowish-brown pubescence on remaining lateral surface, except large subcircular with both yellowish and whitish pubescence not obscuring integument, remaining central area on anterior 3/4 with abundant dark yellowish-brown pubescence not obscuring integument, and remaining posterior quarter with moderately abundant yellowish pubescence not obscuring integument, except denser pubescence close to posterior sulcus, this later pubescence yellower centrally and whiter laterally. Sides of prothorax with abundant light yellowish-brown pubescence not obscuring integument, except glabrous anterior sulcus and postcoxal process with whitish pubescence. Prosternum with dense white pubescence partially obscuring integument, except glabrous anterior sulcus. Prosternal process ( Fig. 68 View FIGURES 64–68 ) with abundant white pubescence partially obscuring integument; narrowest area 0.07 times procoxal width. Ventral surface of meso- and metathorax with abundant yellowish-white pubescence laterally and abundant whitish pubescence not obscuring integument centrally. Mesoventral process gradually narrowed toward apex; apex 0.19 times mesocoxal width. Scutellum with sparse yellowish-brown pubescence. Elytra. Etymology. Latin, “dubius ” (doubtful; in doubt); alluding to the provisional inclusion of the species in Lepturges (Lepturges) .

Remarks. We believe that L. (L.) dubius sp. nov. is not a true Lepturges (Lepturges) . However, without a complete revision of the genus, as well as nearby genera, it is not possible to establish the correct allocation of the new species. Therefore, the new species is provisionally included in Lepturges (Lepturges) .

Lepturges (Lepturges) dubius sp. nov. is similar to L. (L.) elimata Monné, 1976 (see photograph on Bezark 2024 and original description), especially by the pronotal pubescent pattern, but differs as follows: prothorax abruptly narrowed after lateral tubercles; and white and grayish-white elytral pubescence with rounded brown pubescent spots interspersed. In L. (L.) elimata , the prothorax is gradually narrowed from lateral tubercles, making them almost located on posterolateral angles, and the whitish elytral pubescence does not have rounded dark pubescent spots interspersed.
