HOLOTYPE (J): ‘ Anatolie / Asie mineure / Coll. Obenberger [p] // TYPUS [p, red label] // Rhizotrogus / anatoliae m. typ. [hw] / Det. Obenberger [p] // Holotypus [p] / M. aequinoctialis / ssp. obenbergeri Nonvll. [hw, white label, red margin]’.

PARATYPES (2 JJ 1 ♀): Anatolie / Asie mineure / Coll. Obenberger [p] // TYPUS [p, red label] // Rhizotrogus / anatoliae m. typ. [hw] / Det. Obenberger [p] // Paratypus [p] / M. aequinoctialis / ssp. obenbergeri Nonvll. [hw, white label, red margin]’.

Current status. Junior subjective synonym of Holochelus (Miltotrogus) rusticus (Faldermann,

1835), see BARAUD (1987), SMETANA & KRÁL (2006).

Remark. Although Nonveiller indicated this taxon on the identification labels as a subspecies,

it is clearly reported as a proper species in the primary description.
