Clavellotis sargi ( Kurz, 1877)
Clavellotis sargi was collected from the branchial arches of Diplodus vulgaris .
It was previously collected in several localities of the Adriatic, on Diplodus annularis ( Kurz 1877; Radujkovic & Raibaut 1987, 1989), D. vulgaris and D. annularis ( Valle 1880) . In the Mediterranean, Raibaut et al. (1998) have summarized the known hosts for this species. It was in particular reported in France (coasts of Languedoc, Lion Gulf) on D. sargus ( Cabral 1983) , D. sargus and D. vulgaris ( Benkirane et al. 1999) , in Italy on Sargus salviani ( D. vulgaris ) and S. annularis ( Richiardi 1880) , in the Genoa Gulf and the Ligurian Sea on D. annularis ( Brian 1898, 1903), in the Gulf of Naples on D. vulgaris ( Brian 1906) , in Tunisia on D. annularis and D. vulgaris ( Ben Hassine et al. 1978; Benmansour & Ben Hassine 1997).
