Dolicholobosa bisofurcula View in CoL sp. nov.
( Fig.1 View FIGURE 1 , Map1 View MAP 1 )
Description. Male. Body small and thin. Fastigium verticis conical with apex rounded, dorsal surface with a longitudinal sulcus. Eyes oval, protruding forwards. Apical segment of maxillary palpi longer than subapical one, apex slightly inflated. Pronotum slightly extended posteriorly, not reaching or slightly exceeding posterior margin of first abdominal tergite; prozona comparatively flat while metazona slightly raised, anterior margin nearly straight, posterior margin rounded; paranota longer than high, posterior margin narrowing, without humeral sinus. Thoracic auditory spiracle small, exposed, ovoid. Tegmina short, concealed beneath pronotum or slightly surpassing posterior margin of pronotum, hind wings absent. All femora unarmed on ventral surfaces. Procoxa with 1 spine, protibia tympana open on both sides, oval; protibia with 5 pairs of comparatively short ventral spines. Mesotibia with 4 internal and 6 external short ventral spines. Posttibia with 19–22 internal and external dorsal spines separately, apex with 1 pair of dorsal spurs and 2 pairs of ventral spurs. The middle of posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite concave, lateral lobes triangular with apices rounded. Epiproct developed, protruding backward, posterior margin rounded, lateral edges of two-thirds base fused with tenth abdominal tergite. Cerci simple and slightly incurved, cylindrical at two-thirds base, inner margins of third apical area concave, narrowing, apices sub-acute. The middle of genitalia dorsal surface with a tongue-shaped process, compressed, directed backwards, narrowing, apex rounded; lateral margins of ventral surface expanded, apical part faintly protruding backwards and bifurcated, pointing laterally, tapering, with apices rounded. Subgenital plate nearly trapezoidal, broad in base and apex slightly narrow, basal margin slightly concave, posterior margin with a U-shaped concavity, lateral lobes comparatively long and depressed, equal to third subgenital plate, right-angularly curved upwards, apices rounded; without styli.
Female. Appearance is similar to male, pronotum comparatively shorter. The middle of posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite slightly concave, lateral lobes short and triangular with apices rounded. Cerci conical, apices subacute. Subgenital plate transverse and broad, basal margin with a concavity and lateral margins folded dorsad, posterior margin rounded or slightly concave. Ovipositor comparatively straight in basal half and moderately upcurved in apical half, apices of dorsal and ventral valvulae acute.
Coloration. Body yellowish green. Eyes brown. Disc of pronotum with a pair of longitudinal brown stripes, area between them yellowish brown, the outer margins with a pair of longitudinal yellow stripes. Dorsal surface of abdomen with a longitudinal brown stripe along the midline. Male cerci green.
Measurements (mm). Body (the distance from apex of fastigium verticis to posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite): ♂ 8.2–10.4, ♀ 8.2–10.5; pronotum (the distance from anterior margin of pronotum to posterior margin in the midline): ♂ 3.2–3.5, ♀ 3.2–3.4; hind femora (the distance from base of hind femora to the apices of genicular lobes): ♂ 7.7–8.3, ♀ 8.6–9.0; ovipositor (the distance from the base of subgenital plate to the apex of ovipositor): 4.2–4.5.
Material examined. Holotype: ♂, Leigongshan, Leishan, Guizhou, 29 July, 2017, coll. Qidi Zhu and Yanqing Li. Paratypes: 3♂ 1♀, Leigongshan, Leishan, Guizhou, 29 July, 2017, coll. Qidi Zhu and Yanqing Li ; 2♂, Leigong- shan, Leishan, Guizhou, 30 July, 2017, coll. Jiyuan Feng and Qidi Zhu.
Distribution. Guizhou (Leigongshan).
Discussion. The new species Dolicholobosa bisofurcula sp. nov. can be easily distinguished from Dolicholobosa roundata Bian, Zhu & Shi, 2017 by: male epiproct long, protruding backward, with rounded posterior margin, lateral edges of two-thirds base fused with tenth abdominal tergite; cerci slightly incurved, cylindrical at two-thirds base, inner margins of third apical area concave, narrowing; apices sub-acute; the middle of genitalia dorsal surface with a tongue-shaped process, compressed, directed backwards, narrowing, apex rounded; lateral margins of ventral surface expanded, apical part faintly protruding backwards and bifurcated, pointing laterally, tapering, with apices rounded. Female subgenital plate nearly trapezoidal and lateral margins folded dorsad..
Etymology. The name of the new species is derived from apex of male genitalia in bifurcated fork shape. In Latin, “bis-” means two and “furcula” means forked.
