Andrena ambigua Eversmann, 1852: 16 , ♂.

Type locality: Spasskoe, Orenburg Province ( Russia).

Published (original) locality: “in promontoriis Uralensibus australibus”.

Lectotype: ♂, designated by Proshchalykin et al. 2017a: 4 // Spask [ Russia, Orenburg Prov., Spasskoe, 52°00′N 56°32′E], Jun [e] // Lectotypus Andrena ambigua Eversm. , design. Osychnjuk, 1980 <red label> // Lectotypus Andrena ambigua Eversmann, 1852 , design. Proshchalykin et al. 2017 <red label> // Zoological Institute St. Petersburg INS_HYM_0000279 .

Paralectotype: 1 ♂, the same label as in the lectotype // Paralectotypus Andrena ambigua Eversm. , design. Osychnjuk, 1980 <red label>.

Current status. Andrena (Plastandrena) tibialis ( Kirby, 1802) (synonymized by Morawitz 1866: 7).

Remark. Although there is one female (“Spask”) from the Eversmann’s collection (as indicated in Proshchalykin et al. 2017a) that has been previously labeled by Osytshnjuk as “ Paralectotype ”, this specimen does not belong the type series since the female was indicated in the original description to be unknown.

Distribution. Europe, Russia (to Far East), Caucasus, Turkey, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, northern China.
