Dohrniphora angularis View in CoL group
Diagnosis. Pleuron light colored, contrasting strongly with brown to dark brown anepisternum and midcoxa. Hind femur with distinct, often brown-colored, relatively rectangular concavity with apical toothlike process; in most species with curved, transverse carina extending dorsally.
This is hypothesized to be a complex of closely similar species that differ in small characters of the setation and carinae of the hind femur. The species with hind tibial setae present were described by Brown & Kung (2007), who also discussed the taxonomy of the group. The identity of the nominate species, D. angularis Borgmeier & Prado , is unknown, as the holotype is not available for study.
Included species. Dohrniphora acarinata , D. anatona , D. angularis Borgmeier & Prado , D. brunneifrons Brown & Kung , D. carrilloensis , D. consimilis Brown & Kung , D. erotesis , D. sarmientoi Brown & Kung , D. wangae Brown & Kung , and D. xiei Brown & Kung.
