Lectotype (Jonsell & Jarvis in Nordic J. Bot. 14: 159. 1994): Herb. Linn. No. 584.8 ( LINN) .

Current name: Cerastium cerastoides (L.) Britton View in CoL ( Caryophyllaceae ).

Note: Möschl (in Mem. Soc. Brot. 17: 96. 1964, and later publications) indicated material in LINN as type but did not distinguish between sheets 584.8, 584.9 and 584.10 (LINN). As they are evidently not part of a single gathering, Art. 9.15 does not apply.
