Material examined. 1 ♀, labeled ‘ BORNEO, Sabah, Mt. Kinabalu Nat. Pk. , Poring Hot Spgs ., 485 m, 24.viii.1988, A. Smetana [ B142 ] / Horniella sp. 8, ♀, det. Z.-W. Yin, 2014’ ( MHNG).

Measurements. Female ( Fig. 51 View FIGURE 51 C). BL 3.13 mm, HL 0.68 mm, HW 0.58 mm, PL 0.65 mm, PW 0.58 mm, EL 0.78 mm, EW 1.16 mm, AL 1.02 mm, AW 1.16 mm. Each eye composed of about 40 facets.

Distribution. East Malaysia: Sabah ( Map 6 View MAP 6 ).

Remarks. Though slightly smaller, the single female is externally similar to the male of H. awana known from West Malaysia. Their relationship cannot be confirmed at this time pending the discovery of a female H. awana , or of an associated male from Kinabalu National Park. Here we list this specimen as sp. 9, and give an illustration of its genital complex ( Fig. 52 View FIGURE 52 I) for future comparison.
