Laena logshengica sp. n.

( Figs 6 View FIGURES 1–7 , 16 View FIGURES 11–20 )

Type material. Holotype: ♁, China, Guangxi, trail Logsheng Hot Spring to Dashankou , 400–490 m, 11–14.IV.2013, leg. M. Fikáček, J. Hájek & J. Růžička, NMPC . Paratypes. Same data as for holotype, 6 ex. NMPC. — China, Guangxi, Shiwandashan National Forest Park, 290–360 m, 5–9.IV.2013, leg. M. Fikáček, J. Hájek & J. Růžička, 1 ex. SMNS. — China, Fujian, Yenpingfu, coll. Reitter, without further data, 5 ex. SMNS (labelled as „sp. n.“ by Schuster) .

Description. Body length 3.8–4.8 mm, dorsal surface dark brown without metallic reflection. Eyes weakly prominent. Last antennomere unusually enlarged. Pronotum cordiform, widest across anterior third, posterior margin distinctly narrower than the anterior one; with separated punctures, distance 1–4 puncture diameters, most punctures with long erect setae; surface convex and shining, disc without impressions; lateral margins not beaded; posterior corners rounded; prothoracic hypomera with similar punctures as on pronotum, but without visible setation. Elytra elongate with rows of punctures without striae, punctures of rows of similar size as punctures on pronotum, punctures with long erect setae; intervals without punctures, interval 9 with 3 indistinct setiferous pores, internal intervals feebly convex, external intervals distinctly convex; surface shining. Apex of elytra not prolonged. All femora without teeth. Tibiae of both sexes simple, without peculiarities. Apicale of aedeagus tringular with acute apex, basale long, see Fig. 16 View FIGURES 11–20 .

Diagnosis. This species is similar to the few species of southeastern China with unbeaded lateral margins of the pronotum. Another known species with unbeaded margins is L. hlavaci Schawaller, 2008 from Jiangxi, but this species possesses all femora with distinct teeth. Laena armidentata Wei & Ren, 2018 from Anhui and Zhejiang with unbeaded margins can be separated by small teeth only at the anterior and middle femora. The similar Laena guangxica Schawaller, 2008 (Guangxi) and Laena jiangxica Schawaller, 2008 (Jiangxi) possess beaded lateral margins of the pronotum. Additionally, in L. guangxica the pronotum is widest across the middle with the posterior margin as wide as the anterior margin, and the convex elytral intervals bear scattered fine punctures with long setae. In L. jiangxica the pronotum is widest across anterior third as in L. logshengica sp. n., but L. jiangxica is larger (5.5–6.0 mm), and the elytral intervals are flat with scattered fine puctures and long setae. Laena hajeki sp. n. from Guandong is also similar, but this species is larger on average (5.0– 5.6 mm), and the lateral margins of the pronotum are distinctly beaded.

Etymology. Named after Logsheng Hot Spring, in whose vicinity part of the type series was collected.
