Distribution.

Widespread, Egypt to South Africa, Arabian Peninsula, Maldives, Sri Lanka.

Notes.

Heckenhauer et al. (2019) suggest the Sri Lankan C. zeylanicus may represent a separete species or subspecies but further work is required.
